Nordstrom and Patagonia settled a counterfeiting lawsuit this week after the two clothing retailers dueled in federal court for nearly a year, Jonathan Limehouse reports.
Patagonia sued in 2023, alleging Nordstrom sold "thousands of counterfeit Patagonia sweatshirts and t-shirts" through its sister brand, Nordstrom Rack, according to the complaint filed in the U.S. District Court for the Central District of California.
Harsh words ensued. Yet, this week, the case went away. What happened?
Driverless car company under federal inquiry
Waymo, the autonomous driving company, is under investigation by federal safety regulators for reported driverless car crashes and traffic violations, the National Highway Safety Administration announced this week.
The agency opened a preliminary evaluation after receiving reports of nearly two dozen incidents where a Waymo vehicle was the sole vehicle operating during a collision, or the driving system allegedly violated traffic laws.
Here's more on the Waymo crashes.

The lawsuit alleges Walmart falsely inflated product weight, mislabeled the weight of bagged produce, and overcharged for clearance items.
